School Supplies
Many students may need some refreshed school supplies
after the holiday break. New box of crayons, a few pencils and glue sticks are
some of the most needed items. Please ask your child if they are in need of
these items. Thank you so much! J
Class Cookbook
Our
third grade Journeys stories next week will be a section of Ramona Quimby, Age 8 and Imagine a Recipe. One of the skills we
will be working on is reviewing steps in order. For example, “first they mixed
the batter and then they rolled out the dough”…etc.
As
an added bonus, we’d like to create a class recipe book. You and your child may
find a favorite recipe, holiday recipe or any other recipe that is a family
favorite (main dish, appetizer, soup, cookie, dessert, etc.)
Please
send a copy of the recipe to school
with your child or email a copy to
me at aschnoor@mountvernon.k12.ia.us
by
Wednesday, January 10. We will design, organize, illustrate, and publish a
class recipe book.
We’ll
all enjoy the process and the new
recipes!
